11am - 12pm | Ceremony Our ceremony will be in the garden / courtyard at home, weather-depending, followed by time for some group photos. This will be recorded, if you are unable to attend. We will make every attempt nearer the time to live stream it, but if we are unable to, we will share a video ASAP afterwards. |
12pm - 3pm | Lunch Our lunch will be at Peppermint Bay, a 200m walk from our home. We will be having a three-course set menu, details to follow soon. |
3pm - 5pm | Intermission Time for a break, a walk (or nap), change into some comfier clothes while we prepare for the evening. |
5pm - 9pm | Evening Party We will be having a barbecue, cutting the cake, possibility a short speech or two.. Please let us know (via the RSVP form) of any dietary requirements or allergies. |
For men | Smart casual Something along the lines of smart trousers / chinos and a button-up / polo shirt is plenty. |
For women | Smart casual Whatever you feel comfortable in, a nice skirt / trousers and top, or a dress. Cat’s dress is the traditional white, so please avoid large blocks of colour close to this. |
NB. for all: | Please do not feel obligated to come dressed formally (suit jacket, tie for eg.), especially those travelling from overseas with limited luggage space. Do come prepared for all weathers, we will be outside (for at least brief moments) throughout the day. For those unfamiliar with Tassie weather, it will cool off in the evening, so have an extra layer or two to hand. |
For all | Relaxed smart casual Whatever you feel most comfortable in. We may be outside weather-permitting, so come prepared! |
You will need a visa to enter the country - the most suitable for UK passport holders is the s.651 eVisitor visa, which allows you to stay for up to 3 months at a time as a tourist. You will have to fill in a declaration card as you approach the country, you will be fine unless you're carrying fresh produce like fruit, vegetables or nuts, raw wooden items, or muddy shoes.
There may be some space to stay with us but we will not know until much nearer the time, so it would be best to make your own plans to avoid a last-minute scramble. If you don't know anyone / anywhere locally, we can recommend these AirBnBs known to us in the community:
The majority of you will have gone to great effort and expense to be here on the day, for which we are eternally grateful. Please don’t feel obligated to give us a gift. If you really did want to, any cash would be invested in a small honeymoon and our future together. A nice 'thing' for the garden / house to remember the occasion by (and your attendance!) would go down a treat also.
We can advise individually if coming from overseas, else it’s an easy drive to Woodbridge. If coming from interstate / overseas, we may be able to do runs to and from our nearest airport (Hobart, 45mins' drive) to save you hiring a car.
There is plenty of space on the block, or on the road(s) surrounding the house.
If you are unable to attend for the cost, time or the distance, please don’t worry at all. The ceremony will be streamed (or recorded at least), and available to watch at a later time.
We intend to follow this up with a party for our UK-based friends and family in due course (likely in 2026+). We will let you know more when we do.
Please fill out the form below to confirm your attendance, any dietary requirements and menu choices (when available).
Please RSVP by 25th August 2025.
